The nursery was thinned. The beets are growing well and receiving timely rains. |

The Cercospora leaf spot nursery was inoculated on July 1. |

Cercospora leaf spots were observed on a couple of highly susceptible sugar beet lines at the same research farm. |

We rated the nursery for the first time. Most ratings were between 1 and 3 with a few 4s. |
| August6 |
We rated the nursery. Ratings were mostly between 3 and 5 with a few 2s and one 6. |
| August14 |
We rated the nursey and ratings were between 3 and 8. |
| August20 |
We rated the nursery with ratings between 4 and 8. This is our last rating for the year due to regrowth. |
