Michigan Cercospora Nursery 2026

May2	We planted the Cercospora nursery on 5/2 and the Rhizoctonia nursery today 5/7.
May18	Beets have emerged and the stands look good.
June8	The beets are growing well. Routine pesticides are being applied. It has been hot and dry, but thankfully we received 0.41” of rain on June 5.
July6	The nursery was inoculated.
July28	We started rating the Cercospora nursery. Ratings were mostly 2-3 with a couple 1s and a few 4s.
August6	The nursery was rated. Ratings were between 3 and 6 with most around a 4. I’ve attached a couple pictures of the nursery as well.

August11	The nursery was rated and ratings were between 3 and 8. Most ratings were 4s and 5s.

August18	The nursery was rated. Ratings were between 4 and 8 with many 5s and 6s.
August25	The nursery was rated and ratings were between 5 and 8. This is our last rating due to regrowth.

Nursery Trials
